Electric bus service launched in Mianwali

The CM added that the initiative would later expand across Punjab, making modern and eco-friendly transport available to more districts. The CM inaugurated the Green Electric Bus Service and a new bus terminal in Mianwali.

The CM said Punjab cabinet ministers spent days and nights in flood-hit areas, remaining among the people until relief reached every affected family.

“I myself travel for hours, sit with the people, and closely monitor ration distribution. Some criticize me for working in the field, even questioning why I use boats during inspections. But let them know—I understand the helplessness of the people. Talking is easy, real work requires sacrifice,” she remarked. Maryam Nawaz said Punjab was the only province where both the system and the leadership actively respond to crises. She reiterated her mission of providing safe, affordable, and modern transport facilities across the province.

Calling Mianwali her “second home,” she said the people of the district have always stood with PML-N. “I want to end the sense of deprivation here. The gift of green electric buses is one step toward that goal,” she said.

Maryam also promised improvements in healthcare and sanitation. She said the Suthra Punjab scheme was running successfully in Mianwali and government hospitals would be upgraded to reduce the need for patients to travel to other cities.
